Here’s what you need to know: The Managing Director, Student Support role is a senior leadership role in the KIPP Newark region responsible for ensuring that all schools meet our student culture vision, that our student experience builds purposefully across grade levels, and that our school-based culture teams are developed and supported in a data-based manner. In this role, the MDSS ensures that all roles that impact school culture and the success of every single child work together purposefully so that every school is excellent for every child.
Experience as a school leader/ principal and/or regional leadership

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Develop school leaders: Provide professional development on establishing and monitoring a strong school culture for school leaders.
Develop School Culture Teams: Through professional development, clear goals and progress monitoring of data, and coaching based on school need, build capacity in school culture teams to achieve culture outcomes.
Partnerships & Strategic Projects: Partner strategically with external organizations to enhance the student experience at KIPP Newark.
Gifted & Talented Services: Oversee the development of Gifted & Talented programming for our schools.
Social Work Integration: Coach the Director of Social Work to support the integration of Tier 1 and 2 behavioral systems with clinical support structures.
Crisis response: Train school teams on crisis response and support regional leadership with crisis management.
Family engagement: Work with the Family Engagement Coordinator to develop meaningful partnership opportunities and family engagement events.
