Director of Talent Recruitment

Here’s what you need to know:
We need you to lead our recruitment team to find the best talent for KIPP New Jersey and KIPP Miami
We’re looking for a director to establish and meet annual recruitment goals. As recruitment director, you will drive the recruitment team’s ability to support school and network leaders to hire smart, passionate and committed new teammates. You will lead the recruitment department to establish new and sustainable practices so our network will be recognized as the #1 place where talented teachers and support staff come to work.
A bit more about you…you are data driven, have a track record of success as a team leader, and are driven to find the best teachers and leaders for our students. You take the long-term view to find real solutions to big problems. You also have experience working with schools and a strong marketing sensibility.

 Must Haves:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience recruiting in schools
  • Commitment to do whatever it takes to find the best talent for our schools and support roles and to inspire confidence in others that we will find it!
  • Ability to think strategically and to use data to set goals and solve problems
  • Ability to think creatively and seek out new solutions to recurring challenges
  • Proven skills in leadership as it relates to the professional development of a staff, culture building among a team, and management of lateral and vertical stakeholders
  • Experience in managing others and/or driving results through others
  • Willingness to advocate for change at the network level as needed
  • Ability to see a broad scope and to prioritize long term solutions over one-off problem solving
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Nice to Haves:
  • Teaching and/or charter school experience
  • Strong marketing sensibility
Here's what you'll be doing:
  • Develop short and long-term strategies to ensure sustainable best practices while accounting for rapid growth within the network
  • Establish measurable, time-bound goals for each recruitment season to promote continued improvement from year to year
  • Establish progress tracking systems and accountability measures to ensure that the recruitment team is continually meeting its goals
  • Manage a team of Associate Directors and their direct reports to deliver on aggressive annual goals
  • Manage the implementation and launch of new projects
  • Build and manage relationships with key partner organizations to build pipelines for future needs
  • Build on existing partnerships with internal departments (ie: marketing, human resources, and finance) to codify clear, strategic internal recruitment processes and to ensure positive candidate experiences
  • Design team-wide performance management standards and professional development opportunities for individual team members
